Cari Dufel, MA, LMSW, CAADC
I became a social worker after realizing my privilege and others do not have the same. My goal was to help the under privileged and oppressed humans of this world. I choose to work at Cherry Health because I feel like quality service providers should be available to anyone, not just those with private insurance. As a person in the queer community, I recognize the shortages for competent providers for the LGBTQIA+ populations. I strive to be a competent provider that strives to ensure barrier free healthcare for this population. I love seeing clients make connections and start to feel relief from their struggles. I also love it when clients start to take up space in this world unapologetically. My work with patients often humbles me that I get to be on this journey with them.
