What I love most about my role within Cherry Health is that I can serve within the community I reside. Meeting clients where they are at, clients allowing me to be part of their journey of healing and supporting them through some of the most difficult times they have ever experienced, is something I have much gratitude for.

Education, Training, and Certifications

I received my Bachelors Degree at Saginaw Valley State University in Social Work and my Masters Degree at Grand Valley State University in Social Work. I have been certified in Trauma Informed- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brief Strategic Family Therapy (BSFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMRD), Matrix Model (for addiction) and Moral Resonation Therapy. I am also certified to provide Autism testing.

Professional History

I have had the great pleasure of working in several different social work fields, beginning in 2009. Those opportunities have included: Working in education (middle school as a social worker), medical field (working in a hospital setting, both in the emergency department and on the medical floors), corrections (social worker in a prison and jail), women’s shelter, psychiatric hospital, and community mental health facility. I have held many different roles within each of these positions, which has helped me to grow professionally.
