Jenny Bush, MD, FAAP

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Jenny Bush has worked at Cherry Health as a pediatrician for over 15 years, acting as Director of Pediatrics for most of that time. She also served as interim CMO in 2022. Dr. Bush is committed to ensuring that care continues to be innovative and of the highest quality for our patients.

As a clinician, Dr. Bush dedicates herself to providing the highest-quality, compassionate, and welcoming care for children who have the most difficulty accessing it. She takes pride in working with families to ensure their children’s healthy and successful future through prevention and shared decision-making. She strives to create an open and safe space for our patients to share their struggles and achievements.

Additionally, as the pandemic started to significantly impact the community back in 2020, she felt the pull to help with efforts to keep our communities healthy and safe. Dr. Bush was given the opportunity to coordinate Cherry Health’s COVID-19 response efforts and was instrumental in leading the team and improving access to care for our patients and the communities we serve throughout the pandemic. In her time as COVID-19 Response Coordinator for Cherry Health, Dr. Bush helped develop protocols to focus on patient and staff safety, expanded testing capacity, and built a community vaccination program that provided over 32,000 vaccinations to our patients and community members. Through partnerships with the local health department and many community organizations, our COVID-19 team provided vaccinations not only in our Cherry Health offices but also at many community events, local migrant farms, and regularly in local homeless shelters and substance use disorder recovery programs.

Dr. Bush graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Alma College, attended medical school at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
